Reiki Treatment

On arrival the Reiki practitioner will get to know the client; in the sense of any ailments that the client may have, paying attention to symptoms of ill being which will be carefully dicussed with the client and which will be kept confidential. If there are serious physical complaints you will be advised to attend your GP first. Reiki does not guarantee a cure, it is a healing method that can give a big stimulation in getting better and can be used in combination with regular health service.

A full treatment takes about an hour. For a treatment you will either lie on a plinth or you will be seated in a treatment chair: depending on physical capability. The practitioner uses specific hand positions around the body. Each hand position being held for 3-4 minutes depending on the amount of energy the body requires. The treatment starts at the head and will continue down the body to the feet. After that the back may be treated seperately.

During the treatment you lie fully clothed on the plinth while the Reiki /Seichem energy flows through the different parts of the body. The practitioner is a conductor of the Reiki/Seichem energy and goes to there where it is needed most. Relaxing music will be playing in the background to help the client relax, which in turn helps gain the maximum effect of the treatment.

The client will notice that the Reiki/Seichem energy is helping him/her to relax also. Unconscious tension/stress in the body will be brought to the surface. This happens by coughing, shivering, a gurgling of the stomach and sometimes through laughter or crying. None of which is anything to worry about. It just means that blockages are being removed, so the life energy can flow and the body can heal itself.

After the treatment there is time to ‘wake up' and talk about the experience that the client has had, and where the practitioner found blockages that need working on.

Reiki/Seichem starts with hand positions, but the end result is that you feel better about yourself and the things around you. It will also give you a more positive outlook on your life in general. It is an easy and effective method to pass on the universal life energy.
